Workshop: Saturdays 9/22 - 10/20 2007
Generations creative dramatics workshop
Grandparents are invited to bring
any of their grandchildren between the ages of 6 and 16 and
together they will tell stories and bring them to life in
a creative dramatic workshop. The intent of the class is to
have a lot of fun sharing family insights and reliving fun
family moments. This is a small attempt by EverGreen to reaffirm
and enjoy healthy family bonding.
Generations is a creative dramatics/storytelling workshop
that will culminate in a written script to be presented at
the Comedy Shrine in Naperville IL. Carter Carroll, Professor
of History and magical Storyteller and Craig Berger, Professor
of Theatre and Artistic Director of Napervilles new professional
theatre will conduct the classes.
Enrollement in the workshops.
Enrollment requirements are unique, in that each person who
enrolls must be a grandparent, or a grandchild, enrolling
with their counterpart. i.e. an enrolling grandparent brings
one or more of his/her grandkids and they must also enroll.
Conversely, a child who enrolls must enroll with a grandparent.
Children who enroll must be be at least 6 years old and no
older than 16.
Classes will be held on Saturdays from September 22 to October
20 at the following locations and times:
- Spring Meadows Naperville (1:00pm to 2:30pm)
504 North River Road, Naperville, IL
- Independent Village (2:30pm to 4:00pm)
1030 Aurora Avenue, Naperville, IL
Residents of Spring Meadows and Independent Village and their
grandchildren may enroll in the workshop at no cost. Other
interested members of the community are encouraged to enroll
and attend at either location for a nominal fee of $25 for
grandparents and $15 for each grandchild. Residents of either
housing facility may enroll with the Activity Director of
their respective facilities. Other interested persons should

The show
Through the course of the classes, a script will be developed
and will be presented on stage at the Comedy Shrine. No one
who enrolls in the workshop must be in the production, but
all wish to be involved will be granted a role of some size.
Performances of the new script at the will be Saturdays, November
10, 17, 24 and December 1 at 1pm.
